Our “Little Goo” is ONE!
It feels like yesterday we welcomed our little girl into the world. Time goes so fast. This year has been the absolute best year of my life being able to share these moments of life making memories with my sweet baby. I have loved watching her grow, learn, and develop her own personality. It has been a privilege to be her mum mum.
We decided to go with a floral theme for her party. I cut out cardboard letters and got flowers from Michaels to create this name banner. I initially made one in handwriting but it didn’t turn out very well! The banner below the table is from Michaels as well.
I held on to our wedding day candy stand we purchased from Homesense because I knew if I ever had a baby birthday party they would come in handy again!
I had lots of left over small flowers which I glued to the bottom of these party hats to help reinforce the theme, and of course for extra cuteness.
I also had this picture sign left over from a previous party, so luckily it served as a perfect way to show Ellie’s 12 months of photos. She helped me while I put her pictures in here, and honestly there were a few tears! I love watching her grow, but it’s surreal how fast time goes. I never want these years to end.
I spent a good amount of time baking these cakes the day/night before her party. They did not turn out how I envisioned (did I mention I hate icing?) but I tried and that’s all that matters…right?! By the way that cake says “one”. The partially iced smash cake was a healthy banana cake and actually tasted like banana bread which we thoroughly enjoyed.
I hope you enjoyed your very first Birthday Party, Ellie! I know you likely won’t remember it but I hope you can cherish these photos I share with you as little gifts too.
I love you, Elliana.
