I can’t believe two years have gone by since our wedding!
Things have moved so fast so ultimately so has the time. We went from getting engaged, selling a house, buying our house, getting married, getting pregnant, renovating while pregnant and now enjoying parenthood; our favorite chapter. And now the husband’s building a shop so technically the renovations continue.
There’s so much I could share about the planning that went into our wedding but to keep it simple we went for a blush and gold elegant vibe. It was held at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton, Albert; a beautiful venue overlooking the River Valley. Unfortunately our photographer didn’t get many decor pictures but I’ll share what we managed to take below! Our wonderful videographers Ring Tail Films also captured our special day which I’ll link. 🙂
We had lost my grandma a few days before the wedding so it was a very emotionally charged day. I think she must have been looking out for us because the weather was beyond beautiful and the day went off without a hitch. I had so much guilt going forward with the wedding at the time because of the circumstances but I knew she would have wanted us to continue with it. When I woke up on our wedding day and saw a spectacular sunrise greeting me I knew I could fee her presence saying it would be okay.
Marriage has taught me so much. It is definitely a journey not a destination, much like life. I am so grateful to have found my husband and for the beautiful daughter he’s given me. Happy Anniversary my love.
