Mama friends, I’m so excited to share with you the Toddler Monitor!
Ellie has been sleeping in her toddler bed crib configuration in our room for a little while now. I haven’t quite felt ready to not room share yet, but we received a product that is going to help ease my anxiety during the transition tremendously. The Toddler Monitor is an easy to hang door motion detector that syncs to your phone and notifies you with an alarm on your phone when our sneaky little babes are on the move.
Ellie has been twisting door handles as of late and I can not even imagine if she escaped out of the room while we were sleeping. And actually growing up I had heard stories about how when I was a toddler I had gotten up while my mom was sleeping and escaped from the house. That story has always stuck with me and as a mom now, especially living in a rural area with lots of water around, I need to make sure that history doesn’t repeat itself. So this product is seriously near and dear to my heart.
The Toddler Monitor is seriously so simple and a why didn’t I think of that product.
I’ve been hanging it on the door wherever she is sleeping, set it in the Toddler Monitor App to monitor, and can literally “rest assured” that I won’t miss anything if she’s extra sneaky and quiet. I know I’ll hear my phone go off of the monitor detects itself moving at all. I usually hang it on the outside the door so it doesn’t become a toy. And there’s no power button that can disarm it from the unit which is a bonus!
You can add multiple monitors to the app to hang on different rooms in the home. It also allows you to name each monitor so you know which room the alarm is coming from. There’s a battery symbol as well to let you know when you are running low. One thing I found that stood out from other monitors I really liked was the activity log it kept. So I have a history of all of the alarms and times they went off. The alarm is a very loud, typical “annoying” alarm to make sure you hear it which I appreciate! Honestly, it’s so user friendly and such a simple but amazing idea.
The thing I love about this monitor is it’s versatility. It doesn’t have to just be used for a bedroom but it could totally be used for front or back doors or vacation homes, any place you need that added sense of security. I feel so blessed to be living in a day and age where we have products like this to keep our children safe and parents sane.
